I have my deep freezer at my parents house since we just don't have room at our house. My dad just called and said the breaker tripped and the freezer went off. All of my meat has thawed out. There is two deer and a couple dozen duck breasts in there. Apaprently all ruined. Any way of salvaging any of this other than cooking it tonight?

Make alot of jerky...Then freeze the jerky.

If it was a GFI don't put it back on it,I would refreeze it,you will lose some quality but still wont be bad,

It's either spoiled or its not. If you believe it's still safe to cook it and eat it, then I would say it's also safe to refreeze it.

Mine went out a couple of years ago and I lost a deer or two and several turkeys. It had been out for a day or two and stunk to the high heavens.
