So just a thought...what if you find the biggest winning matching set and no one else in the competition found a solo shed that scores higher than either side of the biggest winning matching set? Can that matching set win both categories or would the matching pair only be allowed in the matching set category?

You can only score whats there... I wouldn't think it matters if its been chewed on from this year or last..

a shed is a shed. Measure it like you always would, if part is chewed measure around it or if a tine is chewed shorter just measure that length.
