Very nice! I just smoke on my grill.
I use a concrete paver and some aluminum foil to eliminate(or at least limit) direct heat.

Works in all weather...this was last ice strom:

Hardware store special....barrel grill w/ offset fire box. It's got the job did for nearly 8 years now.

These are the basic plans I used but I built mine bigger. 16'x24' I also added a center upright in all trusses. The pad is approx 4+ inches thick and 12" thick under and around the fireplace. I built my fireplace all under roof rather than hanging out the back like the plans. Honestly, I will have to measure the fireplace and grill itself, as I just built it in even brick lengths. I will post a new picture later as the previous ones are from 2010.
