Just finished Tom Kelly's Tenth Legion. If you are a turkey hunter it's a must read. Very entertaining.

The Maneaters of Kumaon by James Corbett.

Corbett was a tiger hunter turned conservationist. Probably responsible for saving bengal tigers from extinction.

"Use Enough Gun" by Robert Ruark. If you ever dreamed of going on Safari, this was what it was like when the hunting was great and you didn't have to be a millionaire.

Tom Kellys books are really good reading. He is a gifted story teller.

What is the title of Rugers book? I'd like to read it.

Oh, wow, there are so many...Like BW I like Corey Ford and Faulkner...also, Hemingway. I sometimes think I enjoy outdoor articles more than outdoor books. Articles by McMannus, Carmichael and such...and of course BW writes some good articles that I always enjoy.

I hunt alone quite a bit so I have a copy of Wilderness 911 in my backpack

I like him. I only have one book, but I plan on getting more. I have "Standing in the River Waving a Stick". It has one of my favorite quotes. Don't remember the acutal quote, but it's something like this: for any problem-love, money, whatever-the answer is to go fishing. The bigger the problem, the longer the trip.

I like that. \:D

Anything by Robert Hitt Niell. He is a retired mississippi farmer who writes stories about him and his family growing up and hunting. It is not books telling you how to hunt.I own every one he has published.
