Lawn Care Pre emergent question

When do yall west TN folks put then out prior to Spring? Is now too early?

Best rule of thumb is mother nature. When Forsythias are just about to bloom its time for pre-emergent.

When do yall west TN folks put then out prior to Spring? Is now too early?
I crowd the end of March as close as I can, If I am using Gramaxone with another premerge I do not worry at all, if using Roundup with another premerge I will watch it a little closer, I have sprayed as late as April 15 and all it did was delay mowing for 2-3 weeks which I really like
Gramaxone is a contact only killer and vegitation has to be green
Roundup can slightly prune bermuda grass but I usually do not worry about a slight pruning

Gramaxone 40 ounces per acre
princept 24 ounces per acre
Valor 1.5 ounces per acre
all mixed together with 1 quart of crop oil per 100 gallons mixture
my rate of spray is 10 gallons of mixed chemicals per acre

I always fertilize at least 10 days pryor to any spraying of chemicals

as far as I know none of the chemicals that I listed were "restricted" so they should be available across the counter.
I do have my restricted license to purchase the insecticides.
getting the license is no problem if you take the test in Haywood County, they leave a copy of the "answers" on the table and the instructor walks out of the room, the state is more interested in the "money" you pay for the license
