I too like the good ole days when life was simple, HOWEVER. I remember back in the 70's when we talked about the year 2013, that all this cool stuff would be available, flying cars, jetpacks, wrist watch phone like Dick Tracy used, etc... Well the iPhone is here, and for me, I love it!
I no longer wear a watch, my phone always knows the current time and date. I always have a digital camera and cam corder with me, and stores my pictures and videos without me having to get them developed at Walgreens. And my Walgreens app allows me to scan the bar code on my prescriptions and send them in for instant refill without having to leave the house. The banking app lets me do my banking from anywhere. I can take a picture of a check and deposit it in any of my accounts. From my treestand I can pull up the weather radar to see when the rain is coming, what the forcast is, and wind direction. I don't watch the news anymore, it's on my phone. No GPS in my truck, it's on my phone. I can go on and on, but the best feature on my phone is access to TnDeer to keep up with what y'all crazy goobers are up to!
Oh, yeah...it's a phone too!

LOL- I don't have a watch, either. My comptuer, TV and truck have clocks. I have a large clock in my bedroom. I have no need for a watch.
I buy a throw away cell phone for $32 at the start of every deer season and throw it away at the end. I have a printer with scanner and copier that I use a lot for business purposes. I have never played a video game or wanted to. There are way too many books I have not read that need to be read. In the last few years, I have dropped off from reading 6-8 a week to only 3-4. That bothers me and I blame computer sites like this one.

Thats a little scary IMO those things dumb us down. It could, in theory be gone with the flip of a switch.
