The Sierra Club can kiss my arse. There are some people that we could easily do without. This bunch is near the top of the list. I hope they choke on their Spotted Owl soup. EcoNazi's.

Our steam plant, John Sevier in Hawkins County was recently changed to a natural gas facility. No more warm water discharge. No more great year round fishing. The end of an era. Also heard of layoffs at a large coal mining company in Kentucky today.

Kingston is open now but the water is too cool to attract the fish. Nothing like it use to be.

Coal burning steam plants are becoming things of the past. I have friends that work at a few of them and they are already cut way back from normal as they use Gas most of the year already.

Another part of the equation is that natural gas prices have dropped a lot in the last 5 years due to all of the exploration/drilling going on. Natural gas prices are lower than they've been in a long time, which gives gas-burning generators a better cost structure versus coal than years past.
