Had one under my house a couple of weeks ago. I locked him out when I found how he was getting under there. I wish they'd learn to take their memories with them when they leave. They stink.

Anyone else noticing an extra number of dead skunks on the roads? The buzzards wont even take them  seems like more than last year

yep. had one walk across the parking lot at work this evening.

Yep.. Drove thru the stench again this morning
We should have a Skunk Season! Not sure what you'd do with em or what would be considered a trophy but it wouldnt hurt my feelings to see em thinned out!

nov. 16-feb 28. no limit. the more skunks the better in my opinion. they dig up yellow jacket nests and anything that destroys yellowjackets is more than welcome around here. the last thing they want to do is spray.

I would rather have yellow jacket nests that I could deal with than smelling skunk every morning. I think we live in a skunk hot spot (with the creek and chickens) and after living in a cabin for 2 years that did not have A/C and waking up countless nights with the whole cabin stinking. I now hate them with a passion.

yellowjackets are one of three critters i would rid this world of if i had the capability. i'll take the skunks. we have a healthy population and i can't remember the last time i smelled one that hadn't been run over.
