I don't think TWRA has squirrel numbers, other than they fluctuate with mast. That Heritage outfit sounds like they might be a little light on woodsmanship and heavy on being Chicken Little. Did you read the two remarks at the bottom of the article? It's pretty clear the type of reader that the author draws. I never knew small game animals had "plans" for their future.
