While we are all open to many great new members, I'm afraid being new, and not having been a part of our many past experiences, may leave some uninformed as to what is expected from a Classified Ad.. ALL ads that result in a sale to anyone who found your sale/trade/WTB item on TnDeer requires You to send $5 to TnDeer.. Obviously we all understand that it is pretty easy to see which members have things for sale, but never send in a donation..
The donations help keep this site up and going, and as a seller, help assure that your membership stays active.
Please send in your donations and lets keep our Classified Section open

Good post. I've always sent my $5, sometimes if I get a great deal I even do it for the seller.

One suggestion, and I got this off ALDEER.com. Why not do a percentage. If you sell something for 10 bucks, kinda steep doing 5 bucks. You could even do an either/or.

Not complaining, just a suggestion. Live the classifieds.

I have only bought from one seller on here. He hooked me up and didn't have enough change so I just told him to keep the extra five and give it to TNDeer. I will not mention his user name. But he is a pretty good guy. LOL

I like how a couple other places just charges an annual fee to post in classifieds. It is usually 20-25.00 per year. It generates more revenue for the website, and reduces the cost to the web user.

But hey, Im cool with the tndeer donation too. Just an idea higher ups to consider

Just part of it... people may post on other forums as well just to have more chances of selling said item.... those forums may draw more interest due to a specific "draw" related with the item for sale....

Great reminder !! Wasn't too long ago that we "Lost" the Classifieds because it was being abused by many that didn't pony up the 5.00. I look at the Classifieds more in the Off season, but may not go to the other forums. It's a good cheap place to sell your stuff. Let's keep it going.

I agree...Using the above example that would be a 50% fee. If something sold for $100 then the $5 would be 2%. Really a great deal if you sold a boat or expensive gun for over $1,000. I would think a 2% fee on all sales would generate more revenue to help cover site expenses yet still be fair.

Just a thought...

The ideas is that this is based on honesty. The site is up front, no other fees. Honestly, how many put something on here for $10.00. I have, sold it and paid the fee. It's not about how much your are making but how much of a deal that you can pass on to other members of the site.

Scott, might be helpful to post the mailing address for those who do not have paypal accounts too..just a thought b/c I don't have a paypal account either, but I have never actually sold anything here. Bought a couple of things tho! $;\)$

I agree with Grizzly Johnson! Things can be posted on multiple sites, not everyone who posts that is trying to get out of paying.

I'll never complain about donating $5 once in a blue moon if I sale something; especially if it helps keep the site as a whole up and running, let alone the classifieds section.
