Were you riding The Dream?

No, we were on the Conquest. The Dream was docked next to us in Cozumel. It actually ran into the dock and punched a hole in the hull...needed emergency repair!

Glad you got out with no problem. My son and a group of friends went on the Conquest in December. They were at the Mayan ruins on 12-21.

We'll be on the Dream in May. Glad to know it's the kind of ship that can handle a confrontation! \:D

You will have a blast. If you haven't already booked an excursion in Roatan I highly recommend the Maya Key Private Island Snorkeling. it is definitely one of my top 2 excursions ever. There's snorkeling, beaches, Mayan Ruins(replicated) monkeys in the trees...a bar, fresh water swimming pools. LOTS to do.

Thanks for that tip! 5 years back we visited Roatan, got off the boat and onto a small boat, rode out to a tiny island and swam, lay around on lounge chairs, even rented a snorkel and played in the sea a bit. Seems it was like $20 pp, but peaceful and well worth it.

I'll look up Maya Key.

You didn't by chance score any of the hand-carved mahogany boxes on your trip did you? That's one thing my wife regretted not picking up last time, and she's bent on finding one this next go round.

No I didn't...We aren't much into shopping/souvenirs. I think we spent less than 50 dollars in the ports on anything that wasn't an excursion or drinks.
