I have hunted it for years, since the mid seventies. All over it, by truck and boat. Took lots of does, several average bucks. As far as BIG deer, was never known for that. Know of one or two taken by locals over the years, both on the edge of the big bottoms. Better turkey hunting than deer, IMO.

I don't know about that. In the past, I saw some real monsters down in the bottoms.
Better turkey hunting than deer, IMO.

There simply aren't many deer left. I believe that was the intended result. In this case, I believe the refuge managers don't want ANY deer on their waterfowl refuge.
