Joining forces sounds great But most will want to join at their house....who wants to leave there home
You have to look at if it happens who will have gas?
Gangs will be in towns first, developments, 90% of the homeowners live there. I live 5 miles from the city limits, 10 from downtown
why walk 10 miles past 135,000 people that you can rob....
And if you have to leave, with just you and your wife walking
you own 20 guns and ammo what do you take?
I know of some family retreats for play and hunting that are set
up to bunker down in, lets face in the first time a gang heres a AR in the night or day they will be coming it
I Pray that we Never see this!

I'm not saying that the out of the way farmer will get hit right away. But eventually pickings for the roving bands will get scarce and thier AO will increase out of necessity.
I for one would leave mine, if there was one better and it meant my chance if survialbility were better.

No need to hunt for food. Shoot the looters and thieves and eat them.
It's a win win situation.

After the Ice Storm a couple years back and the flood we had the year before last taught me and the people that live in my area that we could easy close off two bridges and block off one more road and we all would have the area to ourselves. Several of us have gotten together to talk about what we could do in any SHTF. We are trying to ban together.

1. Plenty of ammo. Reloading daily and stock piling ammo every pay check
2. Keep all weapons close by for easy grab and go
3. Over 100 lbs. of dried out venison and vegetables for food.
4. Over 600 gals of fresh drinking water and acquiring more water every paycheck
5. Keep water purifiers on hand after water supply runs out
6. We have secret family land close to TN on the KY side that we can get to in less then 2 hours that is very remote.
Just some of the things my wife and I do to make sure were prepared.
I don't waste my money on stock piling a ton of guns.
I stock pile ammo for guns I have and make sure to keep my guns is proper working order.
We pretty much have a small community of people that are ready to get up and go when time comes.
It's only a matter of time before everything falls apart.
If things were to hit the fan badly we have a spot in Alaska were heading too to be completely off the grid.
I'm prepared but not like some of these people on videos online.
We can survive off the land no problem, I keep my skills sharp to make sure of it.

Hey man you can come to my house, good open field of fire all directions, back up to river, I even realized that I can put the canoes in the water float down river to the Cumberland and go all the way to my farm if needed.
