CBS news reporting Post Office will hold a press conference today to announce the end of Saturday mail deliveries. The target date for ending is August 1st.
For some people I know the only exercise they get is walking to the mailbox every day. Now what are they supposed to do?

I never go get the mail on Saturdays anyway...don't want to chance ruining my weekend!

Said no mail deliveries but they will still deliver packages? what the heck is that gonna do in saving them money if they still gonna be out to deliver packages.

Wouldn't bother me any. Have a good friend who carries mail and he gets a day through the week off for Saturday and said it would be nice to have a weekend without using vacation.

Might as well stop delivery on Tuesday & Thursday as well.....
...or let fedex and ups handle all of it and be done with the USPS, since those two have proven that they can do it cost-effectively and efficiently—unlike a government entity.

My mail delivery is terrible.Every week i get someone elses mail.Wonder where all of mine goes?

Stop it now; start saving now.

Going to 5 day delivery cuts out sixth day overtime for clerks,carriers..etc. Not only that, the fuel cost will be cut down. FedEx and ups drop off a lot of their packages to USPS to deliver. Ups and FedEx charge around 15 dollars per package for Saturday delivery. We do it for free. This may not save the post office, but it will definitely prolong our life.

One thing, no one can open first class mail other then the person who sent and the one recieving it.
So when they get rid of the post office your mail we become free game. It will no longer be protected under the Constitution.
Plus your mail will not be stamped marked either so it will no longer hold up in court if your bill payments are late. because from what I know if on line banking is late they are not responsible for your bills being late you are.

We are the slush fund for the Gov, and I am tired of getting beat up by the public. I am tired of delivering UPS and Fedx packages because they dont want to deliver it to you the customer and then we get the blame. Kinda like the DEMOCRATS POINTING FINGERS.
We will still deliver packages 6 days a week and po boxes will get theeir mail, medications will be delivered and priority mail will be too.
