Looks great. What wood did you make it out of?
Some old barn 2X4's that I have. It's been covered up and drying for 50+ years.
The stuff is so hard that it burns the wood when you cut it on the table saw. Makes for a lot more sanding but that baby SCREAMS!!!

That is awesome crappie I sure hope you kill one with it.
Smaller ones always seem higher pitch and make my ears rattle. I like the longer and thinner sides and top.

I love to listen to box calls outside. I got 2 friends that can make box calls sound so sweet. When the birds have shut up they cant seem to stay that way when they pull a box call out.
I never have any luck with a box call but I think I am pretty good on a slate.
