Having turkeys come in and hang up beyond gun range is just part of turkey hunting. How many have double teamed them with a caller dropping back away from the bird while the shooter set up closer to him?

Very proven method...another thing you can do is have caller walk off calling to make gobbler think hens are leaving...

I have tried this several times, althought it has never worked, I know that it will work and I will always try if the oppurtunity comes.
nothing is for sure in turkey hunting though

love hanging back calling for friends and family, No joke i called for a buddy about 10 years ago, the bird flew down and landed about 20 yards from him.

I'm always hunting by myself so I can't double team a bird. I will call going away and then sneak back in closer without calling and get set up. It's worked a few times.

The only turkey bird i have ever killed this is how we called.
we doubled up that day. 1 caller, 2 hunters.
