OK, here's the entire spread (starting at bottom left):

A buddy brought a from-scratch apple pie, served with bourbon whipped cream. Alton Brown recipe for broccoli salad, empty space for artichoke-spinach dip, smoked brisket, peanut butter pretzel bites, buffalo chicken dip, and a gorgonzola-ale cheese spread. It was good.

Unfortunately, I didn't get much of a smoke ring on the brisket $\:D$

Just had a big helping of your venison nachos for lunch. It was almost like a bread pudding. The chips had gotten soaked in sour cream and guacamole and salsa and the beans, jalapenos and cilantro were all melded together. I ate it cold...pretty damm good. $\:D$ $\:D$

A friend of mine made duck breast wrapped in bacon, made 3 ways (BBQ, caribbean jerk, and some other spicy one).

I played the bum that didn't make anything...it was nice.

On a high note, I won a $25 gift certificate to Charlie's Meat Market in Memphis because I picked the winning team and the first person to score (Boldin).

What makes that even better is that I couldn't name a single person on the roster of the Ravens until about 5 minutes before the game started. I just picked a wide receiver with some years of experience $\:D$

$\:D$ I ran out of charcoal towards the end, and to get the last hour of finishing heat on it, I'd alternate between a handful of mesquite chips and a chunk of Dodge Man's apple wood. Cooked on an offset firebox barrel grill.

10:00 - 12:00 was the true smoke period
12:00 - 1:30 was charcoal-only heat
1:30 - 3:00 I wrapped it in foil with a splash each of cider vinegar and apple juice
3:00 - 4:00 was back to smoke, since I was out of charcoal. This was actually fire smoke, as opposed to water-soaked smolder.
4:00 - 5:00 was a 225° oven to keep it warm before serving at 5:30
