Of course they pay taxes.
How is taking advantage of a tax.deduction the same thing as receiving a subsidy?
One is.keeping your own money. The other is getting some one elses. You win! I'm going to bed Just remember to say a little prayer for that welfare taking farmer / rancher that provides you breakfast tomorrow morning

Raise my breakfast

Am I missing something here? Are farmers now evil, welfare dependant, liberals? I may be off base but that is what I'm gathering.

That's not my point at all.
But if you google farm subsidy new york city you can see for yourself how subsidies have been abused.
I dont think theres a need for subsidies in farming. Farmers are smart enough to know what to grow and what not to grow and play a marketsubsidies are just a way for govt to "harvest" votes and keep farmers "in line"

I understand what your getting at Crappie.
My kind of farming and their kind of farming is very different. They are farming to get paid, I'm farming to get by. As long as the government is footing the bill all is good, but around here there ain't no government check coming to the farmers I know. Heck there ain't much of a check of any kind coming.

I think you all missed the point. Today NO ONE will run a ad using God in such a way. Not cool to do, not politically correct, not how to drum up biz these days. You might insault the non beleavers or rag heads or whoever... Dodge went against the norm these days,Dodge took a risk we should ALL be thanking them for, and put out a DANG good ad. Farmers are hard workers, good people, most who have VERY VERY GOOD family values. You know kind of how us so called conservatives claim to be Say what you want, but this country would be WWWAAAYYYY better off with more people with the work ethic, morals and family values of the farmers. I was at a Super Bowl Party, and when that ad came on, EVEYONE got quiet, EVERYONE listen to the message, EVERYONE was i think SHOCKED to see a ad that not only mentioned God, but was about God, and feeling good about it. You just dont EVER see that these days. I'm glad no one there was like on here, bad evil dodge bail outers, bad evil farmers subsidies. Its not they were clueless of this, its just they got like i, hey that was cool ad. Here on TNDEER, your damned if you do, damned if you dont, by we great prefect conservatives, no pleasing we of moral high ground.
I wish i had not even posted it. It proves why this country is so messed up these days.
