Does supplementing deer with corn during the off season increase sightings during the season when the corn is removed(10 days prior)? I know that it will for sure increase the number of deer frequenting the property during the summer but how many will hang around once the corn is gone? Any experiences? Lets say all variables, such as foot plots, out of the way.

They will fade out, I actually see more daytime photos when I have corn out, along with a half dozen boone and crockett coons, coyotes, foxes, etc

I would save me money and do food plots and mineral sites instead

I'm not putting any more corn out after all the dang coons. Will find a nice place for a mineral lick and work on clearing a couple spots to bow hunt from the ground. should make for some interesting hunts.

Bow hunting from the ground is extremely challenging but crazy fun and extremely rewarding. thats part of the reason I will do it. also because there isn't a tree big enough to hang a stand on in the area I am scouting. I hunted from the ground a few times in the late season and came pretty close... drew my bow 2 or 3 times on does, just couldn't connect. I had one doe just walk up to me, she got about 10 yards away before she saw me standing there. of course my bow wasn't drawn, and if I had been squatting down I could have drawn it. But being in bow range on the ground with only tall grass and weeds for cover is a thrill. I will build a natural blind or two as well. Can't wait till next deer season, I am going to definitely kill one from the ground. I hope...

Natural browse is actually much higher in protein and better for the deer vs corn in Summer months.
