I am getting ready to start loading for a remington 760 30-06. I have heard I need to use small base sizing die. I would rather buy a standard die set because if I know myself I will most likely be loading for a bolt action some day. Anyone have any experience on this?

I would think a regular FL die would work,,I loaded some 06 for my brother in law that shoots the 7400 auto and never had any problems with FL sizing,

I shoot the same gun as you, and I use standard FL sizing dies with no problems. There is no need to overwork your brass with small base dies unless you have problem chambering or ejecting.
My 760 .30-06 is an old ugly that I inherited, but it shoots well with Hornady 165gr SPs and the time tested 57gr of IMR4350, but work up to this load carefully, as always. I have also had good luck with a reduced load of 46.5gr of IMR4895, which is very easy on the shoulder, and am only getting about 100ish fps less velocity.
