I missed the halftime show because I was busy mounting a winch on the back of my sideXside to lift deer into the back. More photos and updates once it's wired up.....

this place never ceases to "entertain"......Finding reasons to piss and moan comes quite natural to so many..lol.
men that would rather watch other bearded men blow duck calls than watch that halftime show...well, I wonder..lol!!
I'm not a fan of Beyonce or her music, but I am a fan of attractive women especially ones that can move like that...lol.

I heard it mentioned in the office this morning, and have not bothered to confirm since it is a non-issue for me, that the half time production cost fifty million dollars to put on.
If that is true, it seems to me that there are a pile of better uses for that type of money than what we saw yesteday.
That's probably about right, given logistics of such an event. However, it is directly proportional to the overall budget of the Superbowl.

OK now was it me or was the National anthem screwed up once again...Do the Libs not know the words.
I was here on the puter and had the Home theatre on and something did not sound right. The Nt'l Anthem has to be lip synced. Back in the 90's, Garth Brooks wanted a TV slot to promote his new record, however it was not approved by network. To force their hand, just before the game, he said he would refuse to sing the Nt'l Anthem unless the network aired his album promotion immediately before the superbowl. Because they were about to go live and Garth Brooks was holding out, they had no choice but to air the commercial. Ever since then, the Nt'l Anthem is required to be a lip sync to prevent a similar situation from repeating itself.
So you are saying when Christina Aguilera botched it up in 2011 that the recording is what was screwed up and nobody caught it before hand? Please!

Whoops. I was incorrect there. They make the artist record a version of the Nt'l Anthem in the case they they decide to pull a Garth Brooks, in which case, they'll just use the recording.

I did a little more research into this and it appears that NBC actually had to bump kickoff time back to accomodate Garth's hold out. In the meantime, someone spotted Jon Bon Jovi in the stands and they tried to convince him to fill in for Garth Brooks, which he declined to do. As a result, the NFL swore "never again" top be put in this position by a artist.
