Well I done something I have never done b4 while hunting yotes.....PASSING THEM UP !!! I am on a quest to kill a white yote that has been seen in an area I have access to. It is running with a big red male yote and has been seen multiple times on at least 3 different farms that range about 8 miles apart . I have been twice so far trying to locate it. Being on the right place at the right time when it is there is just a crap shoot and so far I have struck out . I have called up 4 yotes on those 2 trips and passed on all 4 in hopes the white one would show. I hate to tip my hand by shooting the other yotes but it is getting darn tough to keep passing on them. I have killed just about every color phase of yotes but a white one and they are about as rare as a pink elephant. Which now that I think of it I have not seen one of them either... :D. Although I have not seen it yet the ones who have say it has just a hint of light brown in the shoulder area. I have put out the word to the local landowners to call me ASAP if they see it so I can get on it as quick as I can. It has become an obsession almost like hunting a big buck. If I get it I will post it for all to see. Would love to mount it up for sure!

You are messing up by not shooting the ones you call. Educate those 4 and what if the white one start running with one of those. If you call them you might as well shoot. If the white one comes , let it happen.

Yes but he has targeted an individual. You know, the same way that we do when deer hunting.

I killed a white one back 5 or 6 yrs ago. I thought it was a Spitz dog until it came out in the open.

Maybe so, not likely but I will take my chances for now. I am going to hunt this month for the white one and if no luck then the others will be in trouble. Actually only one of the 4 had winded me and the other 3 just wondered where that darn rabbit was at. Cause once I seen they were not the one I was after I quit calling to them and they just wondered away not sure where I was or what was going on. Two of them just sit down at about 200 yds for 10 or 15 mins just looking and just went walking away unbeknownst to them they were dead yotes walking if I had wanted to shoot them, I doubt they got to educated.

that's not a very good approach to coyotes. They can and will get educated in a second. And that's perfectly fine although he is passing on some prime opportunity. In predator hunting every one is a trophy and some are just more unusual than others , so why pass on any of them?? Yes a white or black phase would be cool but I'm not passing any up while waiting on them as they will still be out there tomorrow the same as if I had passed these up today either way the white one will still be out there so why not kill the ones being called. Jmo
