We started things this morning in the snow but that surprisingly didn't slow things down very much. Dogs ran great today from start to finish, with several long nonstop races. We had several hit holes on us today including the first one we jumped and the last one we jumped. Final head count was 22 rabbits with I believe 8 being swampers and the rest hillbilly's. The dogs also ran one down for a midday snack. We didn't get all of the territory covered that we had planned because of the length of some of the races but its always good to leave some seed for next year. We've been fortunate these last few hunts having the opportunity to take 63 rabbits in three days.

Sounds like a great day to me. I hope you gave your dogs a little something extra for supper.

PcDeer, that's pretty impressive. I took a buddy with his 5 dogs and son to my hunt club near the Lewis/Perry county line off 412 and we jumped a few rabbits. Problem was, it was such a thick patch of briars we couldn't get in there with them. Got some activity but was just too rough an area on the dogs. After all of them were bloody--decided to cut the hunt short. Was told I need to get down by the river and hunt for some swamp rabbits, just not sure where to go. Seeing your pics makes me think there are some folks who know what they are doing and where to go. Congrats!
