Every rimfire I've owned has been a savage, and that rifle looks good, so there may be one in my future.

I would wait and see what CZ does,,
If I cant get one before the prarie dog trip this June, I was thinking the same thing Mr.Big. Just from what you have said about the CZ

Yep it is just a tool. I don't know what doesn't make sense?? I dont care what the savage looks like therefore, what im saying is i wouldn't pay more for something thats just gonna end up in the same shape. Don't get me wrong i love a good looking stock, but im not paying extra for one if that makes sense.
I want one of those cz 22 bolt actions like mr.big has so bad i could taste it, but it would end up scratched to pieces. That's really the only way i can explain it.

I dont baby my rifles at all,,a few dings and dangs give them personality.I own a couple Savages and they do shoot well but are not in the class of working the action on a CZ or the older Brno`s,
the new 455 American is available in a fiberglass stock,,they do cost more but retain their value and even appreciate,I have a 452 FS 22LR I bought a while back and have been offered a hefty profit,I just cant bring myself to part with,,
again I am not downing the Savage as they are good rifles I just like the CZ`s so well it is hard for me not to recommend them whenever anybody is about to purchase a rimfire rifle,,and even the centerfires are top of the shelf also..
good luck and look forward to reviews on the new 17 caliber..

If i ever run across a deal on one i will snatch it up for sure.
Reminds me, i meant to ask you, have you ever had any experience with. Cz shotgun? I had an opportunity at a cz o/u 20 ga. Not long ago and it was one of the best shouldering shotguns ive ever held but i didn't buy it for fear of how bad the poi vs poa would be.
