So how would opt out. just cancel your insurance at work? But can u now, will they let you.

Sounds like you can opt out but the penalty is equal to the Bronze plan... In other words you'll still pay 20k per year. It will come to blows over this.

The 20k is the total cost (I believe).
If you have an employer sponcered plan they will still pay the 80% of that 20k and the employee will pay 20% (these % are made up, every plan is different)
The kicker: How many companies can afford to pay 16k(+/-) per employee? I bet there aren't many. This leads to a few sinarios:
1. Employers drop their plans
2. Reduce work force to under 50 employees
3. Reduce employees hours to under 28 a week
Well then no one has insurance (healthcare for the uninformed) and they have to pay the IRS tax/penility or join a state run exchange (if their state has one). The end game is nudge everyone onto gov't run plans and start a federal single payer system. Its just the next step.

Surely this isnt true. I currently pay 500 bucks a month and am pissed about that. From my understanding through a friend who is a chief underwriter at BCBS, they told him that if Obama won, the next day he would have a new job. He told me that even the insurance companies dont understand completely how this will affect them. If I choose to keep my health insurance at work, will I have to pay a penalty?

I heard a guy who owns a major trucking company call in on talk radio. He has 7500 trucks 70,000 employees. He talked like he be shutting the doors due to this.
Worst part they have very good health care now.
He said between him and his friends who also ran mojor companys, they also would be done. He was talking a millon jobs that would be lost,just between himself and friends closing the doors due to Obamacare.
