i only got to hunt the last weekend. I killed 2 does with bow and saw several small bucks. Hopefully I get to hunt out there a little more next season. I dont really like turkey hunting out there. the hunting is ok but if you think getting an area for deer hunting is a pain try getting a turkey area.

Because the weapons registration is still new and a lot of the photos need updated. Also there are people still trying to get over the system by getting active duty permits to use for their benefits. It helps make it more difficult.

I thought it was low, but lately I've seen several huge flocks, they should be breaking up soon. 2 weeks ago they were gobbling their heads off in 19! Saw a real big flock in 40 last week coyote hunting. I think after this cold weather gets out of here we will see them separating and looking for love!

I don't know how it was designed or the intent of the design but the quality of hunting has suffered from it...You would think if bag limits increase so would harvest numbers however harvest numbers have actually decreased since bag limits increased......Does it make sense to you?? It doesn't to me....
Areas up front can't handle a 4 bird limit. Just my opinion and its not worth much......this is just based 20+ years of hunting there.

That could be part of it I don't know... I do know 10yrs ago I could ride around see all the birds I wanted to in just about any area and now it's waste of time. Whereas I used to see 35-40 different groups of birds now you would lucky to see 10... I am talking about upfront areas not in the rear areas...plenty of birds back there..

Been killin turkeys since early 70s.Shelby Forest,North and South Anderson Tulley,Catoosa,Cheatham,Ft Campbell, LBL,and every other county in middle Tennessee.Back then you had to hunt em.Theres so many now just climb in your blind and ambush em when they walk by.Climb a tree in any of the north areas and in a days time one will walk by.
I was a member of the Middle Tennessee NWTF chapter when there were only 3 chapters in the whole state.
Been around a shot more than my share and still say."any bird that walks up to a fence and trys to climb through a 4in opening instead of just flying over it is pretty stupid.

Good luck to all my friends hunting the camp.

God Bless Ben Lee and Jack Murray.

Now that made me laugh pretty good. Thank you for that one. Joker they do have spurs and a beard so you can compare them for trophy purposes. It's just on a smaller scale.

I looked on the website, but can't find the opening date. Anyone know when deer season opens on the fort?

It doesn't effect our office. It has changed the hours for the visitor center where you register your firearms. They are not open on Sat or Sun. I'm not sure what other ways or what other facilities it will effect as far as hunting is concerned. Maybe range control or other departments that use the training areas, so that could be a good thing...

Whats your favorite area?

Good question for everybody.

Theres a few i would love to hunt but chances are slim.

My most reliable is 44A.Always see bucks there.
Like 48 also.Open most all the time.
Area 5 is where you will find men whenever i can get it.

Just about anywhere, except for the 30,s areas. They have never held my interest, briar drainages, pines, and full of elmers.
00B is holding my interest, never really hunted it until last year some elmer always seems to be locking it up and not hunting it, must think it is his "private territory".The few times i got into it last year I was pretty impressed by what i saw in their.
I know alot of areas to go into. A friend of mine is getting me into the evening hunting once again,so I might actually get into the 44,s and 42 areas this year. There are also some big bucks in 09B,but you only get one chance at them it seems like before they hole up in that out of bounds area south of the creek by 08B.

00B is between 01 and Lafayette Rd. It runs behind the airstrip. Part of 00B is included in 01 now but 01 may be taken away soon. The archery range is across Lafayette Rd. I think the old 00A is behind the range somewhere. JDP would know more about that.

My bag I was thinking 00HC.
Was pretty tired yesterday when I was typing, just came off shift.
We are in the process of reattatching to a wellhead, rigged and ran about 2300 ft of drillpipe yesterday for the drilling crew.
I work for the "evil"oil industry in the gulf of mexico on a drill ship now. When I used to bowhunt back in the day the last road for the boundary, right before you go into gate 10 behind gardner hills in 00B was a great spot to hunt. That was until they cleared the place out made it look like the moon and built more housing out their.

Nice deer!

133 would be conservative.

But you still have that deer in the freezer? Your taxidermist is gonna have a field day with you! Buddy of mine swears his freezer makes them bigger, yours should be huge by now!

It's hard to believe your taxidermist wouldn't mount him. I shot one in September and didn't get him to the taxi the next day and it was 100. Never had a problem.

I'm not a taxidermist but hair comes off easily on every deer I kill. I would at least get other opinions. Didn't you kill that buck in Oct? To me the hide wouldn't ruin that quick in less than 24 hours.

It was likely ruined, but still a chance it wasnt. Epidermal slip is a tell tell sign of bacteria overload on the cape. As soon as the animal dies the bacteria attacks it, just gotta cool it down quick. If it got to 95 and the guts were still in him then it is definitely a questionable cape, and one I would be leary about working with.

If your taxi uses the dry preserve method then no way would he mount it, I tan mine and that tends to "set" the hair on iffy capes. However, nothing is for certain and only going through the taning process could I tell for sure.

If the deers neck wasnt too big, then a cape is likely to cost you around $125. Best bet would be to call a processors and ask them if you could buy a cape from them, a lot of people will bring in a 20" plus inch neck deer and just saw the antlers off. I you could talk with the processor before he might be able to help you out a litle bit.

Hardest part for you is trying to match the coat color, FC deer tend to have more red in them than some others.

I have a signal in most all of the areas with the AT&T 4G I-phone except around area 51 for a few hundred yards. Usually if I dont have a signal it is only momentarily.

It has been a loooong summer. Looking forward to time in the woods. Doesn't get much better than sitting in a tree on a cool morning waiting for the sun to come up!

How do you think the wetter than normal summer will affect early season hunting? I've not seen deer moving around as much as usual this year. I'm thinking that may carry over to early Fall.

I am going to try to dive into hunting the fort this year and have some questions. Do you have the opportunity to scout any or is it just acquire an area and learn by hunting it? If you acquire an area do you have to drive up the day before to pick up your assignment if you plan on hunting the next morning? I am asking because I saw where the office doesn't open till 7:30. Can you register more than one firearm muzzleloader/shotgun? I am interested in learning to hunt the fort have lived close just never hunted it. I have private farms to hunt just like something different. I don't expect anyone to show me their spots or areas they like but any info about the fort would be appreciated.

Example of one of the best spots I have found..in this area out on the main road somebody will always park at the cemetery right up from there somebody will park on the fire break about a couple hundard yds up is a fire break they will park there....I go to the end of the main road and take a right onto the gravel road ,go about 200 yds down the gravel road park and walk into the bottom ..ridges run into that bottom from the main road..when they walk into the woods there is some clear cut and they spook the deer off the ridges..tip of the yr lol hunting the hunters..i have seen 6 bucks come off them ridges and a [censored] load of does..i let a big 3 legged 6 walk several yrs back..a basket 8 and 9

Think I might wait until I get my KY buck first.
Hunting a good one and can't get back in the woods this week until the weekend.

ELMER ALERT !!!
AREA 24
He Came in this evening 1.5 hr before dark and hung his stand for in the morning.(which I don't think is allowed)
Guess he can't see 54 yds. because he would have seen my truck and with common sense realize the field is only big enough for one. LMAO, (poor guy's) some of them will do anything for a buck.
Sounded like he was knocking down dead trees to and from his truck and then sat in his truck to watch the field he plans to hunt in the morning.
He should have just checked in and hunted this evening too since he had time to hang a stand..BAD ELMER

Just cause you got a warning doesnt mean its not going to get worse...the office can still suspend you even when GW gives you a warning. What road was it?

Saturday I never seen a hunter or deer while in the woods. Today(Sunday) still no deer but I seen Elmer twice. One was the "bright white flashlight shining Elmer that walks in at 1st light". Also tried parked on the other side of the road to fool me, lol!!! The other was the "no tree-stand but I will stalk hunting all over the place anyways Elmer". He was quiet but... Headed back out in a few, hopefully most of the Elmers will be watching football and drinking soda pops!

Actually it is the same road... Palmyra on one end Jordan springs on other... GW said he found the marker in the weeds but people shouldn't drive on it until markers replaced.

Hmmm, that FC road has been legal to drive on for at least 5 or more years!?!?!? I was thinking it must have been a "new" GW to do that ON that FC road but I talked to a guy today that said it was GW Curtis(spelling?). Isn't he one of old timer GWs? Sounds like something a new guy might do. Anyways it was just warning but I seen some unhappy hunters walking down that FC road as I drove by. lol

I drove across that road about 5 times today!!!!

Other way around... You can drive Bolger Rd off Roseville to the corner. Then must walk down to intersection.....kind of confusing and don't make much sense to me...

So you are talking the road section from the end of bolger over to the FC road(the dirt road from palmyra over to Jordan springs road? I don't remember that section may have not been there like 10 years ago.

yup, lol, well they should block that section. I don't have to use it but EVERYONE uses that road. I swear several years back I have met a GW on it and was checked. Then we went our ways, GW never said anything about the road.

Well I killed a coyote in 24 and a bunch of time. Great day in the woods.
A good buck came out of TA01 Tonight (Bow) 11 or 12 scoreable points with good bases 19.25" wide, probably score over 150. Fellow had a heck of a long drag but he got in before they shut the check station down.

Can't leave yall without the funniest Elmer EVER, wish I had it on video.
Elmer is across the creek and up on top a pretty good hill. He must have seen a buck rub from atop because he decided to butt crawl down the hill. About half way he was slipping and grabbed onto a rotten tree. The race was on Tree trunk "vs" Elmer to the bottom.
Tree won the race and hit the creek with a loud crack and every squirrel and bird in the woods went nuts while Elmer attempted to slide back uphill to retrieve his back pack. The trail he left behind looks like a good deer trail but it's an Elmer trail made frsh today.

I sort of blew it this morning. Had 2 small bucks walk about 30 yards behind the tree I was in. I heard something else coming and was thinking big buck. Well it was a "good" buck but I was not sure if he was a shooter for me at that time. I could have shot him then but something was strange about his right antler that I could just not make out though the brush and him walking. So I stopped him with a bah and put the scope on his head, holy crap, he had a double beam right antler split at the base. So now I am thinking shooter buck but he only stopped for a second and was gone in the thicket not to be seen again. lol... no I won't say what area on Fort Campbell. I will be going back.

I've hunted it maybe 3 or 4 times and seen a decent Buck the first time and TONS of sign. Just do not have a particular spot picked out yet. Maybe after this year I will have enough information together. I'm going back to where I have found some good rubs and scrapes last year. Im not even sure if they planted anything in 11 this year but its part of the game... get out and learn the areas.

Hello TNDeer hunters. Just got stationed here at Ft Campbell and love to bowhunt. From Idaho, so my tactics and species are a little different than down here. I haven't had time to scout much and haven't been out hunting yet due to being so busy. I'm big into google earth/aerial photography for scouting new areas and like to get away from the people. I mainly spot and stalk/still hunt and occasionally blind hunt but have never tree stand hunted. I'm hoping to head out the next couple of weekends, I leave for Louisiana for 34 days for training at the end of October and heading overseas on deployment in February and would like to get a freezer full of venison for my wife and daughter. I was wondering if anyone could give me any tips or experiences from TA-AB03 and TA-07/01, since these are bow only areas and looks like there's no bag limit on doe, I would assume these places to hold a ton of deer and would increase my chances of tagging. Also these spots look good on the maps. AB-03 I am really interested in, with the agriculture on the west and a creek running to another field on the east it looks pretty good. I've never hunted whitetails before only lots of Mule deer so any tips on that behalf would be GREAT!!! I AM NOT looking for Honey Holes or specific stand locations, just a general place to start to get some meat. THANK YOU and GOOD HUNTIN

I recommend getting use to stand hunting. Since its public land walking around is frowned upon. If your looking to kill does area 01 is loaded. Learn the east side and you'll kill plenty.

Southeastern deer hunting is totally different from Western style hunting. Its all a ambush method and will test your patience.

The terrain is a lot more subtle than you are used to, but the slightest dip or funnel will draw deer. Google earth is OK for the FC area, but I recommend just getting out there and exploring the areas.

I assume you are aware of the draw process for FC, being active duty you will have first pick. So get your area and try for the same one everytime.

If you decide to still hunt, just remember the area are small and thick so it may not be productive. However, a lot of people are impatient at FC and they will start to walk around a couple hours after sunup...my recommendation to you is to use those people to your advantage.

AB-03 is good, but everyone seems to hunt the same spot. Try finding a trail within a few hundred yards of the road in the thickest part you can find, those deer will cross the road into the off limits area so cutting them off before they cross might be productive.

Bottom line, you are at an advantage because your active duty. I also would not limit myself to a bow either, a couple fantastic areas are open to shotgun/muzzleloader if you can get them.

Awesome!!! Thanks for the info guys!!! Went by MWR and cruised the roads for a few. Saw a TON of deer in TA-03 by the old walnut plantations. We saw a lot of hunters parked in other areas but this area seemed untouched for the day. Found a couple places I wanna try to hike into if I get slotted for a day or to. I may spend a bit of time in there. Anybody else like to hunt this area? Ya this late in the game Ill definitely check out TA-01 if theres lots of meat runnin tound. Ill get back into antlers another year when I could put more time into scouting. Seems like a few options to try so hopefully the next couple weekends will be productive. Also went back and tried out the archery range and glad that the new arrows are flying straight and pins are still tight :-D. THANKS AGAIN!!! Oh and how is December? May have to invest in that shotgun as last resort.

HuntFish714,
Welcome to Fort Campbell...Grew up in MT before joining the Army and finally retiring here. The whitetail are certainly a different beast. Trying to be quite and stalk hunt is dang near impossible (or maybe I am to impatient). To many leaves and twigs. Best choice is to hunt from a stand, gets you above the brush and keeps you quite. Any advice from the folks on here is good advice, they may not steer you to their honey hole, but they will not send you in the wrong direction.

With this shutdown (if it were to happen) and being a Federal thing that specifically claims to exclude law enforcement and Military.

With this shutdown (if it were to happen) and being a Federal thing that specifically claims to exclude law enforcement and Military. I don't think it would effect MWR because they are not Federal Employees either.

Thanks Super8, Doctor said 2 weeks off but I feel ok so far, so I may try to get back by the end of the week.
We are federal employees and not sure what a shutdown would effect. As long as the wife gets her retirement and VA pay i'm fine with some time off.

Thanks 44fanatic! Are you by chance a LTC with a ford ranger? As you all probably know by now MWR is still open, they get paid by a different fund that was not effected. On the other hand though commisary and I believe px are closed till further notice. Got all my paperwork squared away and hopefully can call in ar 0800 :-D cant wait!!! All week the deer and all those bucks at the ASP have been makin me itch to go out... to bad we cant even bow hunt out side the ASP lol

Yea, I have only been hunting percy priest so far this year. But, whenever it gets a bit colder I will probably make it to cheatham. I hunted Cheatham quite a bit last year.

I was hoping to join the fun at FC but it is really hard to get away from work to make it up there. I thought I would be able to make it up tomorrow but I'm not sure I will be able to. I thought for sure the MWR wouldn't be open.

You guys are right, still hunting sucks here and so do the mosquitoes. Seen bout 25 deer this morning 2 potential nice bucks. 10 of them were at a nice spot along the river, had a fatty at 65 yards but they were feeding so decided to get a little closer. Wind changed and spooked them up but they werent to spooked, like they knew something was up but wasnt sure what. My question is how often do whitetails need water, also if spooked from there feeding trail how long does it take for them yo return.? Are they like mule deer where it could be a couple days for both? Just trying to figure out if I should sit on it tonight tomorrow morning or ambush from a different spot. THANK YOU to a ny and all responses and good luck

No, they are nothing like a muley. They do have their favorite bedding areas, but for the most part they have all that thick cover and may only visit the same spot once a week if that.

They need water, but so much water here that its really no as effective as hunting western game over water sources.

Ambushing on a trail or food source is gonna be more effective for you.

Deer get most of their water from their food so they don't have to visit a water source often. Find a tree in the area you saw the deer and try it.

Too much pressure and they will become Nocturnal. If you can get up in a tree well before daylight I'd give it a shot in the a.m.Hard to put a good stalk hunt on unless conditions are just right. Seems like we have a lot of wind shifts here.

32 deer this morning, had to leave early. Put at perfect shot on a fat doe but she dodged it. Ive never seen an animal dodge an arrow like that before... ill try it again next weekend. Oh does anyone shoot a Warrior Arrow.with orange and white fletching and a blue Alumi-knock? Or know any one that does? Found one in TA03 today and light was still on. No blood.

Well guys what happened on the fort this weekend.... I thought for sure there would be some great deer killed with all those areas open. Anyone have any success? Were you all seeing anything? Learn anything?

I get to go back to work on Wed and hopefully back in the stand next weekend!!

I was going to look at my tag and see but it must be buried in my gear cause I cant find it.
I dropped my deer off at the processor and know he handed it back but if you wouldnt have asked I would have remembered. LOL

I stayed a little while Sunday night and didnt see any bigger bucks checked in.
Most were Doe and the only 02 kill I seen was a 24 lb fawn.
Didnt have spots either Im sure it will eat good but seemed really young for this time of year.

Especially when you are in TA02. I personally would not take one that small unless starving. Also it doesn't matter to me if someone does it, but it probably was bedded down it was so tiny.
Must have been a late comer. All the fawns I've seen last 2 weeks have been twice the size of that little one. 24 lbs and (it wasn't dressed) I dont think they caught the fact it had not been gutted. Normally you have to field dress before checking in.

I've heard good things from Hunters Harvest on 79. I've only used Livingstons outside of Hopkinsville. They did a great job on the hog I took them 3 yrs ago.

Anytime, you can put a tent in the campground, it's same price as a camper or RV.

I have tent camped in both the upper and lower. Plenty of places to setup a tent and onsite bathroom and showers for both campgrounds. I prefer the upper but if you don't have an air mattress or something to put in your tent for the upper(which is more gravel spots)the lower is prob. better bc there are more grassy areas to setup.

What about lake kyle? I know u can tent camp at lake kyle with an area assignment, but im not sure how hunting season effects this. From what I hear theres no big game hunting around the lake so may be ok, id call and ask. Last time I was out there it was pretty overgrown in a lot of places and u wont get the ammenities of the campgrounds but it would be more original:-)

howdy fellow hunters. Well I been hunting Ft Campbell for a few weeks now. only seen 1 doe. this is really my first time deer hunting. my son and I have been having alot of fun enjoying the outdoors. we are die hard anglers and have been tearing up LBL fishing for a few years now. I just came back from deployment early rhis year and decided to gear up for this years deer season. so we got the right gear just need to see some deer. we did some scouting earlier this year in the area out by kyle. we wanted to be close to the lake area. found some bedding areas. we did not enter the bedding area, but decided to follow some natural trail we seem to feel the deer are running through. found some little clusters of oaks off a firebreak. but we aint really seen much. like i said were new to this. I feel like we may be doing something wrong. as for scent control. we use the dead down wind bodywash, and use the uv and scent laundry detergent. we take a spary bottle of scent block and using tinks 69 on our boots. well be out this weekend. we are determind to get one. we noticed that someone had been out to the area we was hunting cause we seen new foot prints. We scouted out a secondary area to hunt in case someone beats us to an area. Any tips you guys could offer would be great. its beautiful area out here. hell our biggest challenge has been putting these treestands up, kicking our butts! We got us some climbing sticks should make it much easier. thanks for reading and look foward to any suggestions or comments.

You need to invest in climbing stands. I'm not sure hang on stands are legal.

Correct you cannot leave a stand or blind overnight... pack it in and pack it out. Hang ons are legal as long as its not permanent and doesn't do any damage to the tree and you pack it in and out with you each time.

That's what we are using. Ameristep bone collector climbing stands. They are pretty light and have backpack straps. I know you can't leave any stands or blinds. We always pack in and out. Any deer tonight?

Im also knew to the whitetail, im used to hunting back west. Back there all the tinks 69 was doe in heat which can be counter productive if not used only during the rut. I would assume the rut around here wouldn't be till mid November my guess. I did notice today while working that bucks are starting to hang out with does, saw 5 different bucks today all were feeding with does in different areas. Maby someone could give us a little more info if this is normal for whitetail in "pre pre rut" behavior.

The TALK I heard was if the dumb-butts in DC don't have a deal by the 14th of OCT than no hunting on post till it is. And I say again that was just some TALK I heard by 2 MWR employees.

It looks like the dumb-butts are starting to play nice and were caught holding hands a few time so lets hope they get their poop together by COB today.

Had a giant buck walk by me crossing a field this morning before shooting time. I was heading in to a place I like to hunt and had to cross a very wet field. I stopped to rearrange things that were getting wet and noticed movement in the field close by so close when I focused I could see the rack....freaking monster! He never really paid me any attention just kept traveling on to the woods ahead on a mission. I could have easily killed him but a good 10 min before legal shooting time. I hoped he would linger but he knew where he needed to go. I sat in the woods he walked in to and saw several of his friends but he like usual never reappeared! A very dark cloud has moved into his life!

Most likely closed but there is a gas station in Lafayette a couple miles. You can probably get to the interstate in about 10 miles if you have a GPS to follow.

No gas stations in LaFayette, about 1/2 mile out of camp. There is a general store that makes good sandwiches.Like @fulldraw said. Nearest gas will be at the Ft.Campbell Hopkinsville exit on I24.About 12-13 miles away.

Well area 2 didn't produce a buck for my youngest. We had 2 does and a fawn about 80 yds this morning. Went back this evening and adjusted fire. Was a better spot but not the right spot. Too far away we saw 2 shooter bucks for my son's 1st deer. Just too far away for him to shoot. We had the same does frpm this morning come within 20 yds but he wanted a buck. He knows where he wants to set up next time if we get there again.

Go in blind. You will have to do your scouting while hunting. It takes time to learn when and where to go bc you're not guaranteed to hunt the same area two days in a row. You can use the hiking areas during the week to scout but the areas you scout might not be open to huntin come the wkend.

true life, I have had the same issue of not being able to scout the areas that i want to hunt. Like heavy mass said you never know what areas are going to be open. This past weekend was the first time that is have hunted on Fort Campbell. So this is what I have been doing, use your computer and a topo of the areas, you can download some useful apps on your devices. I have one on my ipad that lets me do an overlay of the area, one with the topo and on with the overview. I look for choke points on the topo i.e. saddles, ridges, draws, spurs. Then I look on the overlay and see what that area looks like. You wont know until you are actually are out there but at least this will help you out. I put the coordinates in my gps and try hunting them. On Monday i hunted a staging area not far from a corn field that I scouted online and that morning shot a doe. I saw 8 deer within a 45 minute period one being a buck. I was hunting for meat this weekend and learning the way of the land. This is not the preferred method but it can really help you out. Once you are in the area that you want to be in find some trails and sit on them.

Always have a back up plan too, sometimes another hunter will be in the area or field or strip of woods you had planned to hunt.
It takes several trips to become familiar with an area and sometimes it may be the only time you get the area. It takes Homework,Lots of Homework to hunt the Ft.

be creative as well hunt where no one else will. Break brush if you have to through the thick stuff. There are some hidden pockets that deer like to hang out on.

I was in 9a Sat morning and heard all the emergency vehicles on Hwy 79 rushing to help around 6:30 am. I knew someone was in trouble by the number of vehicles responding. Wildlife officer on post told me today Bill was in the stand on area 21 when it happened, but I didn't ask for any more details. Very sad day but his last post Sat. just after 4 am says it all. He was doing something he was excited about and loved.

Does anyone know if he was in good health .......

As I said before very sad to hear, continued prayers for his family. When I go, I hope I am doing something I love.

Rolling hills in 50 and I have seen some nice bucks in the area over the years. Good luck, several hunt the creek bottom off Pryor Rd. I try to stay back and catch the deer slipping out of the creek bottoms.

I have been hunting area 23 all month. Seen a couple small does. Just past the JB cemetery rd there is a creek. There are some nice oaks down there and it opens up real nice for a treestand. I tried to get in there Saturday but it full. So I'm gonna try 50. U can bet I will be there Sunday.

Im not sure, but I think an elmer is referred to as someone who possess Elmer Fudd type qualities.

I know there was a monster 13 pt that came out of area 32. It was a Main frame typical 12 pt. Looked to be a 170 class deer (maybe 180's), but I don't think 200...Thats the biggest one that I know about

I have not seen or heard of a 200" deer taken on post yet this year. Alway get rumors this time of year. Also your 200 " deer might be only a 120"...some people have never seen a real 200" deer. So far I've seen or heard of maybe 7 to 8 deer over 130". Now I dont see all the deer checked in but I would have seen a 200" one.

Well I don't think we can be together anymore, I'm picking up your bad habits and think I missed one today. Searched for 2 hours in the dark and didn't find any sign that I hit him. I will get back in and see if I can find him tomorrow.
Kind of sick about it at the moment and hate we have to be out so quick after sunset or I would have looked for another hour or two.
Broadside 100-125 yds, he did a 180 and went directly back the way he came and was slow like he was hurt. I marked where he went in and circled the area over and over until the clock ran out. No blood, No hair, nothing. Just can't accept the fact I missed. I didnt pull the trigger until I was ready and can't give up after just 2 hours. Will try to find him tomorrow.
Elmer may have seen him from across the way because when I shot Elmer came out (without orange) just to see where the shot came from and looked at me like I stole his hot pockets. It's kind of crazy at the Ft. already with so many people driving around and just looking.
