Agree with the others. Get the extra foot for sure. My dad was in the same boat as you when he got our War Eagle. He couldn't decide between 18 or 20. He wishes every single day he'd gone with the 20 footer. Also, if money isn't really an issue, go with the 115 h.p. motor at minimum. You won't regret it. Good luck with your search.

We have a 18 ft with a 90hp and it runs in the mid 40's which is good enough for us. The 115 would be nice but it cost a good bit more.

Thanks for all the replys. It is showing the max hp for the xp180 is 90. Here is what I am thinking about if I buy new. In conversation this morning my wife said "I know your going to get a new one". Lol so we will see. I know I said I'm never buys a brand new vehicle again but boats might be a different story.

I have a Tracker 185 ProTeam (18'-6") that I am refurbishing right now. I am having new carpeting installed in it (it's at the carpet installer's store right now), the seats were re-covered last week. It will be like a new boat (almost!) when I am done with it. It has a 90 HP Mercury on it. The compression runs 120-119-120 and it runs perfect. Speedo shows about 45 with the previous owner driving it. Don't know if he knew how to trim it out for max speed. It has electric trim and tilt. 47 lb thrust trolling motor. The wood decks are in perfect shape, no rot whatsoever. The only pictures I have of it are the "before" pictures as I don't have the boat completed yet. Probably be done in a week. I'll be asking $5800 for it when it's done.

It isn't camo, but that can be done reasonably cheap. If you are interested, let me know as the shop that has it now can do the camo too,

PS: Just called the store, for $400 they'll camo it out. So.....$17,999 + tax = $19,620.00 vs $6200.00 That leaves a lot of change ($13,420.00) in your pocket to buy other toys with! (Of course the seats won't becamo, didn't think about that!)

Sounds like you are lucky she is "letting you get a boat" and "giving you the ok". Maybe once you get it she will even give you a kitchen pass to use it.

Haha spurhunter your right. But I am lucky she puts up with all the hunting and fishing I do and she also live to tag along so maybe that's why she is ok with it. But in all reality she know I'm going to end up with what I want no matter what she says. Those words actually cam out of her mouth.
Agelsssone can you get me a few pics.

Congrats. Good job getting out of the ski boat. My wife wanted a ski boat, so she got one. I wanted a fishing boat, I got a $900 jonboat. Then spent another $1000 tricking it out with decking/lights/etc. Jokes on her...but not really because it's still a jonboat.

I have a 2072 and there have been times when I wish I had a 22' or 24'. I bowfish with mine and I can get into some pretty tight places but I have NEVER wished I'd went smaller.

My buddy has a 1860 with a 60hp (bowfishing boat). He takes his wife and kid water skiing with it all the time in the summer. Its hilarious to see this bowfishing boat with deck and lights and generator pulling a skier. So just in case you ever want to please the wife and take her skiing, it can be done. hahaha.
Just because you do not agree with my opinion, it does'nt make me wrong!
