Need to watch this video. I am having these problems now. No real damage yet but I'm still having problems after having my dpf cleaned last week. $1,000.00 to have it cleaned and your owners manual says it needs to be cleaned or replaced (new one is 1,500.00-2,300.00 for the part) at 120k and 240k. I did not know this. I'm looking into getting the dpf delete, egr delete and programmer for mine.

Dump it and straight pipe your exhaust your truck while thank you, the egts will drop, and it will improve mph's slightly. Egr delete is great, and the tuner while shut the code of from them and you'll notice a big difference in your truck. Weather you want performance or just a good towing truck you'll be happy.

I see it as a win-win situation for me delete the stuff that is giving me problems and get better horsepower and fuel mileage for the same cost as the new part.

Don't get too wild with it our you will be blowing head gaskets and need to do the head bolt replacement.... I'd do it anyway....
I believe I read in this months Diesel Power mag, that if the truck has low mileage, you can replace them one at a time without having to take the head off.... start from the middle out.

I read replacing the headbolts with studs is one of the best changes you can make to the 6. series powerstrokes.

I don't personally own a 6.4 but I know several people that do, and most of them have deleted it and chipped it and had a lot of success with it. better mpgs better power win win I think. I do plan on getting one by the summer though looking forward to it!

Spartan is the best tuner for the 6.4 and they'll customize it for you. Head gaskets aren't as a big problem as leaking radiators in 6.4's, however too much boost in hp will create one. Minor and inexpensive changes to the 6.4 make huge changes and benefits.

Better hurry tho !! EPA is cracking down on tuner builders and if not mistaken have already fined "Edge" and they r refunding $ to those who have bought.
But yes I do agree with all the other post about you loving your truck and ur truck loving you after deleting !!! I wanna do mine (12' ram dually, 6.7 HO) so bad I cant hardly stand it but dont want to void the warranty with only 2200 miles on it
Keep us informed on how it goes please. Good luck

Don't know about the fines.... haven't heard that yet.
But I do know thanks to Barry and his "green" thumb.... the newer diesel trucks will have to start adding a fluid to every tank of fuel to cut down on emissions... The brand new diesel trucks are supposed to have an onboard addative tank you have to keep full for the same purpose.
