I am not a huge pistol person but do have a Smith mp 40, a springfield xd compact 9, and a bunch of other odds and ends. IMO I much prefer the XD to any other polymer that I have or have shot. It was pstol of the year for something like 4 or 5 years and the price is right. The XD and MP have been accurate but if I really want true accuracy I would go with my Kimber 1911 or my Sig 1911. Much easier to customize and play with. My Kimber weighs less than my XD and is easier to conceal.
