I would love to go into Sunday school and ask a few questions myself. Just went and dropped off our Daughter at Church. Dam that was very hard!!!!!!!!! Its killing me to put up with this! I honestly dont know what I should do. I want to put my foot down. This is really putting a strain on my morals and in turn my family. I am not going to sell out I can tell you that! It might even mean my marriage, I feel that strongly about this.
IF you desire to raise your child in a Godly home, then you must follow scripture and become the Spiritual leader and head of your household.
Where your daughter attends Church would fall under this.
The decision and choice is yours and make no mistake, the Bible is clear on this subject.
Do the study yourself and see for yourself.

Born and raised Catholic. I watched a really good denomination turn into a layer of liberalism. First, they defend the altar boy rapists then they fool their parishoners by parading around their false Pro Life stance only to support Obama.
I could go into more with a couple of big time lib priests in Nashville too. I know of several Catholics that were told they would need to donate thousands of dollars to the church, then they would be allowed to go to purgatory , and eventually gain salvation.
This is why the Methodist Church broke off from the Catholics ....... Now it appears there right back in the same boat.

Same thing though it could cause more problems. If you married her mother and have been raising her, then you are commanded as the spiritual leader and head of the household.
Your wife should understand and accept this IF she desires to be a Godly woman.
Sit down with your Bible and gently discuss this. Then you will have to decide who YOU follow. Study what scripture tells you to do IF she stands her ground.
Communication, prayer and obedience is key here.

I guess this isn't considered church policy any more.

I just don't have the same issues with MY Methodist church. I attend the CMC, and from all my queries, they don't seem to be in line with the UNITED METHODIST CHURCH. They don't condone gay pastors, and don't condone women either to my knowledge behind the pulpit. I WILL however continue to research these accusations from the broader sense of the Methodist church tho for sure.
