Well I talked the wife into letting me buy a nice boat.I am looking for a 17-18ft. camo side console boat. With about a 70-90hp motor.I found the one I want being either the 2013 xpress xp180 or xp170, but she said before I get the ok to go buy a new one i need to look around for a nice used or just broke in one.SO....This is part of me tring to find a used one.So if any one have a slightly used boat meeting my description please let me know!

MAYBE a little but at least in the end I will get a new boat. New or used. And I talked my way out of a SKI BOAT!!lol On a serious note I dont know if I should try to find the 17 or 18 ft.Anyone have an opinion if the extra foot makes a difference. The decks are the same size but the extra foot is in the walking area by the console.Plus you can put a 90 on it

What about a near mint glass boat in that size?

If your waters ever get rough, the extra foot should provide a smoother ride. Plus more room. If your in tight places, the bigger boat could be a problem. Good Luck.

I would rather not have a glass boat sorry.
Alloutdoors you didnt help me one bit lol. Those are the exact reasons i am going back and forth.I keep thinking for family to throw in the boat the extra foot would help but if I duck hunt the extra foot could hinder me.Then the next problem I am having is if I get the 17ft I for sure will get the 70hp.But if I get the 18 ft should i get the 70 hp or 90hp? What would top speeds be in these boats? To many decisions

Get the 18 ft with a 90 hp . The extra foot won't hinder you too bad in tight places . But the extra room and better ride will be very noticeable . Just my opinion hope it helps .

I would recommend going with a 75 on a 17 foot boat and a 90 or 115 on an 18 foot boat. The Xpress camo boats with the hyperlift (I think that's what they call it) bottom are really nice. A guy I know had a 17 foot with a 115 on it, it was pretty fast. He sold it and now has an 18 foot with a 150 on it. I haven't rode in it yet, but I'm sure it will fly.
