So at first I thought airsoft looked silly. Looking into it more I'd bet that it would be fun.
Anyone played?

My 16 yr old son has more money invested in airsoft than I do hunting... Seriously..
Theres a group here in Morristown that are diehard into this stuff... They actually have some sort of infantry difision set up and my son is one of the designated snipers.... He has a gun that will burn you up at 80-yds.... I think he has $320 in this thing...
They meet other folks with the same type setup and have wars.. They use my moms land in Mooresburg.. They also use vacant lots here in Hamblen County..
There is a huge airsoft field North of here, pretty close to Bristol Motor Speedway... THere are school buses airplanes & all sorts of playpretties to fight around...
It is a real big deal in my house....

Let me check with him tonight.... There is a local forum where he meets up with these folks.... He has all sorts of connections....
Hey, I saw a bunch of older folks when I visited the airsoft field North of here..... Just guessing, but I suspect some of them were in their forties or older....

Go on youtube and search for airsoft minigun shooting a watermelon. Take it from someone who has had bloody welps all over their body...You DO NOT want to be shot at close range with a high end airsoft gun. They are no joke.

There is a place in the Chattanooga area called Highpoint Field. They host games for 16 and under then other games for 16 and up.
Looks cool.

My son and his friends played alot before he enlisted.
He still plays with them from time to time when he's around.

I wish I could turn the clock back about 45 years and I'd be having a ball.
