I have owned both
I now have the SN with steady grip
and I love it. It is well put together and shoulders great
Lets just hope it shoots as good as my old 870

Grew up hunting EVERYTHING with a 870. I've often thought about buying one now, but don't presently hunt anything that needs a shotgun, so I would be hard pressed to get the wife's okay on that, LOL.
