And the thing is even 4 yrs out it seems that the republicans dont know how to field a winning candidate for president, so this attack on the 2nd amendment seems likely to continue for the foreseeable future.

Keep in mind any negotiation starts by shooting for the moon and negotiating to somewhere in the middle. Keep the pressure on guys, we do not want a magazine ban or any other new gun control law at all. And pray there isn't another mass shooting with a semi-auto in the meantime. Obama is planning on a full court press and will be organizing a nationwide push for gun control. He will be in permanent campaign mode until he gets his way.
Do not let up. The gun grabbers won't.

Yeah now that the second most liberal paper in the country says a gun ban won't happen we have nothing to worry or write our reps about. Woohoo. Now I will open my back door and sleep with both eyes closed....
Where's that sarcastic roll eyes smiley things at ....only until something is on the floor and voted out will I start to rest...

It will not stop in Congress. Obama is going to send every govt agency as he can get to go after the gun and ammo companies as well as the gun shops. He's pushing the IRS, BATF, etc to look into every one of them. He's got the Det of Commerce as well as other depts looking at every regulation and rule to push them to the breaking point. Remember how the govt forced the banks to sell houses to people who could not afford them?? They are going to do the same with the banks the firearms and ammo companies use to put them under pressure.
Over the last 4 years we all have seen Obama doing anything he can to get his way. THAT's why MILLIONS of Americans have been buying up so much, they KNOW what Obama will do.

They want to put that story out in all the liberal MSM with certain twists to close our eyes and for his supporters to blame the Republicans and law abiding American citizens. While everybody's eye's are on that one bill all the other things are being pushed behind closed doors.
