That has to be wrong... If that's the case then if im looking at a calendar and understanding you right opening day of muzzleloader would be the 16th of November.. I that's the case that's horrible for those of us that don't bowhunt..

the 16th is the first saturday before t'giving,the 9th is the second saturday before t'giving, the 2nd is the third saturday before t'giving and opening day.

Who knows. According to my calendar, Thanksgiving is Nov. 28 this year. The first Sat. before Thanksgiving is Nov. 23. The third Sat. before Thanksgiving is Nov. 9 if this calendar is correct.

ok. the calendar i was using don't have the holidays and i wasn't sure when was thanksgiving.

So is it suppose to open the 2 or the 9 of November for muzlle loading opener

If i am counting right the opener for ML will be on the 9th of November i wish it would open on the 2nd

TG is the fourth Thurs of Nov. In most years the third Sat before TG is also the first Sat of Nov. But this year (2013) Nov has 5 Saturdays (and only 4 Thursdays), which makes the third Sat before TG the second Sat of the month.

Well guess it just seems like muzzle loader is a week late the way the month falls

Mite be a long shot but I hope they open up a primitive weapons season before muzzleloader opens.. Just my thoughts..
