Harvested 10 myself this year from 20 yards out to 175 during bow, ML and gun. Number 11, the closest, was at “0”! On my way to my lease towing the 4 wheeler; I took one with my FORD. That was one expensive hunt! The trooper said I didn’t need to use a tag on the 4 point, he listed it as road kill (had to be there, laughed like hell). A little NASCAR pit work, duct tape and bungee cords back to the hunt. Capped and mounted the antlers in a piece of the grill. My most pricey trophy to date.

Closer the better but I wont shoot much past 35 yds with my bow, 250 with my Savage MZ, and 350-400 with my beanfield rifle. All that said, my bow shots average 19 yrds and gun/mz well inside 100.

Longest shot I've taken was around 165. i would feel comfortable out to 200, past that I would have to practice a lot.
with a bow 30 yds.

My longest shot ever was this year, right at 220 yards, that was pushing it for me. What are you comfortable with?
45 with a bow and that was this year........with over 50 archery kills. 175 with a gun and that was also this year on my best ever buck, i really like to keep them under 200 but i would say i have killed 90%+ under 100 yards and i have taken over 130 with bow and gun....actually quit counting years ago......now it is a guess.
