what is the best way to catch a few crappie this time of year? i'm still learning how to crappie fish, and would like to catch a limit atleast once this year :D. i will be fishing cheatham lake this sunday with hopes to hook into a few. thanks for any pointers you guys can send my way?

Old Hickory Lake,brushpile in 12 feet of water off the river,1/16 oz jig red and chartruse.Caught 12 in less than an hour yesterday and had them in Crisco Lake within 30 minutes of when they were caught.

thats what im talkin about. are they normally suspended or pretty close to the bottom this time of year?

We troll in a coves that are 5-8 feet deep with a 1/32 head. Right now their hitting john deer green, cotton candy, or blue chart sliders at .8-1mph.
