I would like to repaint my new to me tree stands they are faded and i would like to camo them in where they would be harder to see if someone would be walking threw the woods.
Does anyone have any advice on some good rust proof paint?

I use brownells alumahyde 2. I've done treestands, knives, and guns.

ok were can go buy some it at? i bought well dad bought them and brought them to me and they need a new coat of paint bad. because they are starting to rust.
And they are faded and they look bad as crap what i was going to do it get some green and brown and make them look good.

I order mine directly from them. Just make sure you prep the surface and don't paint in the cold. The nozzle stops up if paint is cold.

Ok thanks i'm going to paint them during the summer where it will cure faster. I don't like to stand out in the cold and do anything if i don't have too LOL.

I am going to try to "paint" mine with some bed liner spray I bought at walmart. My hope is it will reduce noise when I do "clang" something against it.

I'll let you know. Someone told me that is pretty much what the Summit "dead metal" stands are coated with. I don't know that for sure, as I have never handled one of them.

I've used the spray bedliner stuff uite a bit, it's not a bad choice - but it's not near as durable as the powdercoat that comes on stands from the factory.

I put the felt pads that go on the bottom of furniture legs on the contact points of my climber when carrying in and out. Works really good.
