I fish alot and have access to alot of fish.I have 400 trees Im raising to help my deer among other things and I was wondering if I take a shovel and stick it in the ground beside each tree and drop a crappie carcass in the hole and then close the hole up would my trees benefit better, same or worse than if I just put some triple 15 in the same way?

I think fish is the best fertilizer honestly...I've used it...You may need to put a small fence around it so the critters don't dig it up

Growing up, all left overs from cleaning and any carp and dogfish we caught got buried in the garden.

I met an old lady fishing with a cane pole in some unnamed pond in Shelby County when I was about 12. I was casting a little bream lure around and catching fish like crazy that were 3-5" long and tossing them back.

She walked over to me and said "son, if you don't want those fish, can I have them?". I said "they are awfully small to be eating!"

She said "I don't eat them. I don't like the taste of fish. Everything I catch I put in my garden for fertilizer."

LOL
