Will be interesting to hear what they come up with. I still say EHD. Simply because it's not really been cold last yr and this yr ain't been cold either except a couple days. That's why we had such a horrible yr with ticks, snakes, and mosquitoes. And this is following one of the worse droughts we've seen in several yrs...watering holes were dried up and deer simply flocked to water they could find...spreading disease and comimg into contact with the little bugs that cause EHD. Seems plausible to me anyway.

my guess ehd or other disease . does not appear that any predators or scavengers have eaten any of the carcasses . too diseased to eat? when you see diseased dead deer on hunting shows they never seem to be eaten on by scavengers . its not that cold if this is in the south. always end up at or near water. arm chair biology for a dum redneck that stayed at a roach motel (once) called the star.
