On my way to the job this morning in Williamson County, I noticed what appeared to be 2 deer floating in a retention pond, my first thought was that I could be two bucks that got tangled up and ended up in the pond and died. Well my assumption was pretty close except it ended up being 5 deer, 4 of them where bucks and another was unreachable but Im thinking it too was a buck. Very crazy to say the least. None of them where actually locked up but its just weird to me that five deer would drown in a little bitty pond like that but possible since its one of those new types that drops off steep and lined with a rubber lining. It was awfully stinky as well but if someone in the Franklin area wants some horns they are just east of Carothers on Liberty pike. Here is a few pictures.

Could that have iced over last week and they fell through, unable to get out?

No signs of bullet holes? It is hard to think that they could have drowned since deer are good swimmers. Maybe it's like Andy said. They fell in, couldn't get out and froze to death?
