I don't envy you the task of telling your kids. The best you can do for them is be as honest as possible according to age. I had to talk to mine about their Papaw. They were older than yours but I'm glad I told them the truth. I did tell them that it was okay to be shocked, upset and hurt but that we would enjoy our time and not grieve the living.
My prayers are with you. Losing your Dad is extremely difficult. I sure hate it for you. I really do.

Thank you for the prayers. My 17yr old knows about it now and she is an absolute wreck. My dad has actually been talking to my 8yr old about it already over the last couple of weeks and he knows papaw is going to see Jesus before to long,but he really doesn't understand. My youngest is only 5 so I don't expect her to be able to understand anything that is going on.
