We only saw 6 between 3 of us and they were very, very skittish and too far to shoot. We figured the same thing you guys did, Poser. There were some fairly close shots from some duck hunters that we figured might've made it tougher, but who knows. I was still in deer mode, especially after some of the sign I found out there!

Lots of fresh deer and rabbit turds. Even a few coyote piles full of grey fur.

Quail sure are rare nowadays I know of multiple coveys in Williamson and Maury counties, not so rare where the habitat is good

After more than 15 years without ever again hearing them call back and forth, I started hearing them again in the dove field. Saw a couple wandering around Mrs. TAFKAP's grandmother's house last Easter. That was the first time I saw a quail since the early 90's.

I see them on occasion and more often hear them at my farm in TN. Also on some land in MI. Hopefully, making a comeback.
