I'm waiting for this weather to dry up to get the dozer in there. I will be putting in some good firebreaks and plan on burning on a south wind. I plan to back burn the northern side and then set a head fire from the south to the blacked out area.

If this wet weather pattern keeps up through the spring I may just have to get it sprayed with herbicide via helicopter and burn it later.

Youll likely get your window for only 20 acres, especially if your just burning fine/flashy fuels. Drying time on flashy fuels like leaves and grass is very short, sometimes only a day or 2 if it can get some sun and wind on it. I personally like to burn as close to the next rain as possible, reduces mop-up and wraps things up nicely for you.
