Making my first trip out west next fall. Any helpful tips would be appreciated. I'm a rookie outside of the Southeast and don't know what to expect. Im pretty pumped, and wanna make the best of my opportunity.

You will have a lot of fun. On antelope, dont shoot the first legal buck you see, believe me , you'll see several.Look for a nice one. Some nice mulies also, however not sure which part of state you are hunting. Good luck

Better be in good shape. All the TV, books, and Magazines ain't joking. Find a long set of stairs or steep hill and start going up and down until you can do it with a full pack.

Get in shape... you will be glad you did...
Lots of other advice but really need more details of the hunt....
One thing for sure... you will have a blast.

I went out there last year with my father in law who has gone for the past 20 years. We left 6 days before our hunt and went to Yellowstone, Jackson Hole, and Cody, Wyoming. If you have the time and money I would definently recommend it. Probably the most beautiful scenery I have ever seen. We also drove up to Billings Montana and went to Cabelas. We hunted in Rozette and were only there for 2 days which was enough time for everyone to fill tags. I'll see if I can dig up some pics
