Tiller handle you cant go in real shallow water.

Jet drive you can get in very shallow water but you lose half of your horsepower on the motor with a jet.

It all depends on the type of water you fish to choose between the which one.

DEFINiTLY GO WITH A 4 STROKE!

Are you asking about a tiller handle with a jet vs. a console steering with jet? or tiller prop vs. console jet? If i knew I could better answer your question.

If you fish shallow water or small rivers, definately the jet. Also a console will put you closer to the front of boat where you can more easily see underwater dangers. Jets are gas hogs. While the 4 stroke is heavier, it is better than the 2 stroke for gas mileage. An outboard jet will loose 30 percent of rated HP at the powerhead. Most will be rated. 30/25, 60/40, 90/65 and so on. If you need any more help, let me just let me know.
