I left one in the closet in camper for 6 mos or so. In that environment pellets WILL corrode. Jeff ( former gunsmith at Specialty arms ) put it back in working order. Only cost $175 best I remember. Then bought my encore and never used it again ! Gave it to a friend's daughter this season .

I don't understand why anyone wouldn't use Blackhorn 209 if they have a muzzleloader that will shoot it. In my personal experience using Blackhorn 209, 777 pellets, Pyrodex pellets, Pyrodex Select power and White Hot pellets, the Blackhorn 209 has proved to be superior in both performance and ease of use/cleaning and it's not even close. It shoots better and more consistently, it stores WAY better, it cleans infinitely easier and you can shoot several rounds before you even have to think about cleaning your barrel. I will never, ever, ever, ever go back to shooting pellets or loose 777 and Pyrodex. Long live Blackhorn 209!
