That would bolt up on a 5.56 lower, accurate, not too heavy, and factory ammo available?
This would be a deer rifle on occasion.
Thinking of buying some parts along the way for an economical build. Also anyone have experience with polymer lowers? I've found some available for $50.
Thanks

As far as I am concerned polymer is as good as any, I know some will not agree. As far as a upper goes I like Double Star, but most are good.

I've got a Rock River 6.8 SPC, me thinks it is the perfect caliber for hunting, can do coyotes, deer, or......zombies. Here's some info on the 6.8 http://demigodllc.com/articles/6.8-mm-spc-cartridge-history-development-hornady-stag-arms-carbine/

Never had any experience good or bad with polymer lowers. But for 50.00 I don't think you could go wrong.

I own 5 polymer lowers from 2 different manufacturers, they work just fine for 90% of AR users. What brand are you finding? You may want to upgrade the FCG, but that is true for many pre-built lowers.
If you are serious about finding them for $50 - I'd love to know where, I have several friends who are looking for lowers right now to finish builds.
I have 5.56 and 300BLK caliber AR's at the moment. Your other major options are 5.7 and 6.8 - but it's getting harder to find ammo in just about all of them right now.
I am still playing with my 300BLK and trying to find a good ammo for it... my intention was and still is to make it my primary deer rifle for next season.

Out of stock today... Sorry
Doesn't say you could use anything above a 5.56. You think if they would hold up for a 6.8 or 300 blackout?
I'm not worried about jumping into and paying panic prices. If I can get a lower it might take a year + to finish. Not at the top of priorities.

Yeah the 6.8 or the 6.5 Grendel would be the perfect TN coyote/deer AR cartridge. I went with a 6.5/6.8 specialty round.

6mm WOA is looking like a good choice.
