Yesterday my next door neighbor came over and asked me if I would go get him some 22 lr ammo today because he had to work and couldn't get to the store. He told me that Paducah Shooters Supply was getting in some stock of ammo this morning so I went down there today.
I didn't need any but they had Eley 22's, that's been hard to find and I was out. I bought him and me a total of 8 bricks.
It was crazy there. I got there just before they opened and there was about 10 people in front of me. One of them was a little old lady on her cell phone finding out what to buy. They had some Rem 9mm and different 22's. They were not ever bothering to put any ammo on the shelf just handing out how many boxes each wanted and it was moving fast. They had one guy doing nothing but gong to the storeroom to bring in what they had to the front. I got mine, went to pay for them and took them to the truck. I went back in to go to the bathroom and when I came out they were sold out of 22's and only had 9 boxes of 9mm's left All of this took from 9:00AM to 9:36AM.
Of the people I did get to talk to all of them said they were OUT of 22's and could not find any, that was the reason they were buying a couple bricks at a time.
Now do I tell my neighbor or do I just keep quite and shoot somewhere else???

I have .22 shells from the 60's...clean the green off and they shoot fine! Even back then we hoarded....

I went to two different places yesterday evening looking for ammo and they were both about sold out. No 22 at all.
