Help Help , slide in wall oven .

Remember a few weeks back I fixed my flatscreeen ..
Now its the oven
Bottom element quit heating , replaced it . then top and bottom wont work . Called repairman , he ordered board , I put it in still nothing . I hot wired the heat sensor that shuts it all down in situation where if it got too hot . That didnt work ..
Looks like I'm down to the inside probe.. Maybe.. Repair clinic .com says to test it with a meter which I don't have.
Does anyone know if I can pull it out and hotwire it ( basically cross the two wires that are attached to it ) will that make the elements heat so I call tell before I order same ? its another $85. Thanks in advance .

You can buy a small multimeter for less than $10 at rural king or TSC. Not familiar with the part your speaking of tho. Sorry

Sorry Salt, not at all sure I am following you, but when this happened to me, gas stove tho, it was the thermostat that failed.

Have you checked the breaker and verified the stove is getting the proper voltage?

Yep checked everything( replaced most one at a time ) only thing left is the probe , which acts like a themostat, What I want to try is crossing the two wires into it and see if the elements start to get hot , bypassing the thermostat(probe) altogether ?
If its not that it will make a fish attractor !

What model is it? It would be a good idea to go ahead and buy a good multi meter.

Carlos , if the repair man doesn't call back tomorrow , Cadiz is a right to work city, if you don't feel like working any time just stay home and don't call either, then I guess I need to get a good meter . Got a cheap one but it doesn't do what I need. Thanks.

I had similar problems with mine Christmas day, had a new one two days later. It was 18 years old and I didn't trust it anymore.

Redwing , prob is everyone I can find that will fit takes 2 weeks min to get . I gotta Super Bowl party coming up. May have a real busy grill outside !
